Alena Yahorychava, a resident of Hrodna, was detained on September 30, 2021 together with her husband Ihar Pazniakou in the frames of a criminal case under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code.

On February 3, 2022, Judge Vital Labotski found Alena Yahorychava guilty and sentenced her to two years of restricted freedom under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code and two years of imprisonment under Article 364 of the Criminal Code, the sentences totaling two and a half years in a general-security penal colony.

She was released from prison in early 2024.
