Andrei Harun is a former law enforcement officer. Before his arrest, he worked at the EPAM IT company.

He was arrested in October 2021 and charged under Part 3 of Article130 (Inciting social hatred) and Part 1 of Article 179 (Illegal collection or dissemination of privacy information) of the Criminal Code for leaking information about law enforcers to the Punishers of Belarus and Black Book of Belarus Telegram channels.

On August 25, 2022, the Mahilioŭ Regional Court started hearing the case of the political prisoner behind closed doors. Judge Ihar Shvedau sentenced Andrei Harun to seven years imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.

In December 2022, the KGB put the political prisoner on the 'List of persons involved in terrorist activities'.

Andrei Harun is serving his sentence in penal colony #3 Vićba, Viciebsk region.

Last May Lukashenka stripped of military and special ranks more than 80 former officers of law enforcement bodies, who joined the independent association of security forces ByPOL or supported protests.
