Andrei Zaikou worked in the real estate agency "Etazhi" in 2020. The man has a young daughter.
According to pro-government Telegram channels, he allegedly provided addresses of law enforcement officers involved in repressions to the 'Black Book of Belarus'. It has been reported that Artur Haika, an employee of the GUBOPiK, responded to him, although Andrei was reportedly unaware of this. Pro-government sources have also alleged that the same account was used to post comments in open chat rooms and groups.
Andrei was detained on November 10, 2023. On April 10, 2024, Judge Sviatlana Charapanava sentenced him under Part 3 and Part 2 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code (incitement to racial, national, religious or other social hatred). The sentence is unknown.
