Danila Bandaruk is a defendant in the criminal case opened after the post-election riots of August 2020 in Brest.

Bandaruk is from a large family, the eldest of eight children. To help provide for his parents, he went to Minsk to work as a construciton worker.

Bandaruk was detained on August 22, 2020 (his cousin Mark Salonikau was detained together with him) and charged under Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code (participation in riots) and Part 1 of Art. 339 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism).

On May 21, 2021, Judge Andrei Hrushko of the Lieninski District Court of Brest sentenced Bandaruk to 5 years in a medium-security penal colony.
