Yury Dabrakhotau was detained on April 20, 2023, on suspicion of hooliganism, but was charged with participating in a protest in 2020. After a search of his home, a small amount of marijuana was allegedly found in his apartment. He was convicted of organization of actions that grossly violate public order (Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code), as well as illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs (Part 1 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code). 

On August 10, 2023, Yury was sentenced to two years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony. The case was presided over by Judge Yuliya Krepskaya.
