Kim Samusenka

Kim Samusenka is an activist, a member of the board of the public movement "Dzieja". He was detained on November 3 at home after his apartment was searched. The Investigative Committee said that he and his acquaintances were involved in the hacking of the computer system of the Minsk City Executive Committee on November 3. In addition, the Investigative Committee argued that Kim Samusenka was an "active participant in unauthorized mass events in the capital since August 9."

Kim was charged under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (actions that grossly violate public order) and Part 2 of Art. 349 of the Criminal Code (access to computer information committed by a group of persons by conspiracy).

Judge Zhanna Khvoinitskaya decided to consider the case behind closed doors due to the fact that “the materials of the criminal case contain information that is a state secret.”

On January 28, the Zavodski District Court of Minsk sentenced four political prisoners for “hacking the computer system of the Minsk City Executive Committee.” Political prisoners Kim and Aliaksei Samusenka were sentenced to 6.5 and 4 years in a general-security penal colony, respectively, Pavel Drozd and Ivan Andrushoits to 3.5 years in a penal colony each.
