Kuzniatsou was convicted by the Homieĺ Regional Court under Part 1 of Article 130 ('Inciting racial, national, religious or other social hatred'), Part 1 of Article 342 ('Organization and preparation of actions grossly disrupting public order or active participation in them'), and Part 1 of Article 361-4 ('Recruitment, training or other assistance to extremist activity') of the Criminal Code.
On June 2, 2023, Judge Aleh Kharoshka sentenced Kiryl Kuzniatsou to three years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
