Maksim Stasilevich was detained at his home on July 22, 2022. He is a believer in one of the churches of Christians of Evangelical Faith in Minsk.

He was sentenced to 10 days of arrest for ‘the distribution of extremist materials’ (Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences). It then became known that a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code for ‘active participation in group activities that grossly violate public order’ was opened against Stasilevich.

He was placed in pre-trial detention center.

On November 8, 2022, the Maskoŭski District Court of Minsk sentenced the political prisoner to two years and six months of restricted freedom under home confinement.
