Piotr Drazdou holds a Ph.D. in economics, he is a professor of logistics at the Belarusian State University. Drazdou was detained on December 26, 2021, and kept in pre-trial detention facility until the sentencing in a criminal case on ‘group actions grossly violating the public order’ (Article 342 of the Criminal Code) on March 10, 2022.

Drazdou was sentenced to three years of restricted freedom in an open-type penal facility. He began serving his sentence on June 20, 2022.
