Siarhei Hanichau, 21, is a student at Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. He was arrested at the end of May 2022. Hanichau was accused of ‘organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate the public order or active participation in them’ under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code.

The court found Siarhei Hanichau guilty and sentenced him to two years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
