Siarhei Kharytanovich was convicted by the Frunzenski District Court of Minsk under Article 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a government official) and Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code (insulting Lukashenka). The case was considered by Judge Alena Bushava from May 10 to May 20, 2024.
Pro-government Telegram channels reported on Siarhei's arrest. In the video the man admitted that he had left insulting comments against propagandists Vadzim Gigin and Rygor Azaronak.
On August 2, 2024 an appeal against the sentence will be considered.
