Uladzimir Harbavets is a defendant in the so-called “dancing protest case” brought after the protest action in Brest on September 13, 2020, under Article 342 of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to two years of restricted freedom in an open type penitentiary. 

On March 4, 2022, he started to serve his sentence.

He was released from prison on February 22, 2024.

The Maskoŭski District Court of Brest has convicted the 11th group of defendants in the series of trials dubbed by journalists and human rights defenders as “dancing protest case”. The six people were found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (participation in actions that grossly violate public order).
