Aliaksandr Varabei is an employee of the MTZ factory convicted of insulting a police officer.

On June 11, 2021, the Maskoŭski District Court of Brest sentenced 26-year-old Varabei to 18 months of home confinement under Article 369 of the Criminal Code. The victim in the case was a Brest police officer Shukaila.

The man was found guilty of posting in October 2020 a comment under a post in the Telegram channel "Punishers of Belarus", thus publicly insulting police officer Shukaila. According to the prosecutor Andrei Manko, the Varabei's guilt was proved by the testimony of the accused and the victim, as well as by the written materials of the case.

Varabei pleaded guilty and said he regretted the act.
