Varvara Miadzvedzeva was found guilty of violating Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of home confinement. The case was heard on March 28 and 29, 2023, by Judge Viktoryia Shabunia.

Miadzvedzeva and her husband were detained upon their return from Poland to Belarus for participating in protests in 2020.

      On June 23, 2023, she was listed among individuals involved in extremist activities, including Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens, and stateless persons.
