Vasil Yarmolenka

Vasil Yarmolenka is a musician, former artist of the Belarusian State Dance Ensemble. He was arrested on January 25, 2022, in a criminal case on group actions grossly violating public order (Article 342 of the Criminal Code). 

He is held in pre-trial detention center.

On April 22, 2022, a trial was held in which Vasil Yarmolenka was found guilty of active participation in the 2020 post-election protests and sentenced to three years of restricted freedom in an open-type penitentiary. She was released in the courtroom on her own recognizance pending the determination of where she would serve her sentence.
