Viktar Lameka is an entrepreneur from Zeĺva, Hrodna region. Previously, Viktar Lameka sued the tax office and defended entrepreneurs of the Hrodna region in court.

He was arrested on March 29, 2023, and a report was drawn up under Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences (Dissemination of extremist materials). Later, in the court building and detention center, two more reports were drawn up against him under the same article.

According to available information, the law enforces severely beat Viktar Lameka during the arrest. First, he was beaten in the minibus, and then in the building of the 9th Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption (GUBOPiK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. His leg was severely injured.

Viktar Lameka was charged under Article 367 of the Criminal Code (Defamation against the President of Belarus).

While he was in remand, his mother died.

In late April 2023, the political prisoner was transferred from prison #1 in Hrodna to remand prison #6 in Baranavičy, Brest region.


On August 31, 2023, the Zelvensky District Court found Viktar guilty and sentenced him to three years in in a general-security penal colony.
