Aliaksandr Douhal was arrested in April 2023 for "offensive" comments on social networks and sent to Brest pre-trial detention center No. 7. He was charged with insulting a government official (Article 369 of the Criminal Code) and insulting Lukashenka (Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code).
On October 6, 2023, the trial was held in the Court of the Maskoŭski District Court of Brest. The trial was conducted by Judge Maryna Skalkovich.
