Natallia Malets was convicted under Article 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a government official). Her case was considered on December 30, 2022 and January 3, 2023 in the Maskoŭski Сourt of Brest. Natallia was in custody from November 8 to November 10, 2022.
Judge Ina Klyshpach sentenced Natallia to one year and six months of restricted freedom under home confinement (domashnyaya khimiya).
In September 2023, Natalia was again detained on charges of "financing extremist activities" (Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code). She was sent to pre-trial detention center No. 7.
It is known that law enforcement agencies were interested in "suspicious activity of the woman in making money transfers". Investigators found that she had made at least 125 transfers to 114 Belarusians in the amount of more than 1,500 rubles.
The woman is charged under Parts 1 and 2 of Art. 361-4 of the Criminal Code (promoting extremist activities). On July 8, 2024, the Brest Regional Court began considering Natallia's case. On August 8, 2024, Judge Ruslan Sianko sentenced Natallia to three years and six months' imprisonment in a penal colony.
