Uladzimir Baslyk was charged under five articles of the Criminal Code: Part 2 of Article 367 (slander against Lukashenka); Part 1 of Article 368 (insulting Lukashenka); Part 3 of Article 361 (calls for sanctions); Article 369 (insulting a government official); Part 1 of Article 130 (incitement to hatred).
On July 29, 2024, the case was considered by Judge Anzhalika Danilava in the Minsk Regional Court. He was sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.
